Visitors to this popular exhibit are able to vote for the covetted Viewers Choice awards. Also on display are winners chosen by hand-picked judges who are experts in the field.

Also new this year is a Quilt Challenge based on the theme of the Tennessee Valley in the Great Depression. Fourteen miniature quilts were submitted for the Challenge and will be on display. These quilts were judged for monetary prizes. Several of these quilters have donated their quilts to be auctioned off at the close of the exhibit. Viewers may bid on the quilts of their choice during the exhibit and on March 31st we will announce the winners of the quilt auctions.

Following this lecture members of the audience may present up to two quilts for documentation, and find out from noted Knoxville quilt expert and author, Merikay Waldvogel, about the history and date of their quilts. Any time period of quilt is acceptable, not just Depresseion era.
