Church of God "Rotunda Mosaic"
Created in the 1960's by the Italian artisan,
Sirio Tonelli,
this colorful passionate history of the Church of God
is a most impressive and unique feature of
the Church of God International Offices in Cleveland.
This 2 story historic work of art contains 3 million Venetian glass tiles,
in over 1000 different colors.
The result is a moving religious mosaic.
Re-dedicated in 2005 as the “World Evangelization Center”,
a trip to southeast Tennessee can only be made more rich by a visit
to the lovely campus of this historic church’s world headquarters.
A beautiful outdoor Prayer Plaza centers the domain,
scattered with intervals of scripture and praise.
At the middle sits an “eternal flame”
which signifies the focus of the gospel
in all of the Church of God’s endeavors.
Beautiful bronze sculptures add to the tranquil garden.
Be sure to stop in Pathway Bookstore, just across the street from the
World Evangelization Center, while in Cleveland. You can have some
goodies and a Starbucks Coffee at their coffee shop, tour their lovely
gift shop and extensive literature, or pick out a selection from their music - Contemporary Christian, Gospel, Praise andWorship, and more.
