Sessions include

Offline: In the Beginning . . . Intrinsic Public Relations

In this session Beecher Hunter will explain to participants the essentials of corporate and community public relations to build relationships within the business community, with local media outlets, and customers. Emphasizing interpersonal connections and commitment to service, this talk will focus on the value of face-to-face communication, personal investment in customer service and the positive results of acting out—not merely talking about—your organization’s mission.

Online: Using Social Media to Communicate With Your Publics

Professor Kevin Trowbridge will give participants an overview of emerging tools, trends and issues in social media, including blogs, feeds, wikis, podcasts, viral videos and more. Whether you are a public relations professional, business leader or member of the local media, you can expect to walk away with some new ideas for connecting with the people on whom your organization’s success depends.
