Andrea Wilson ~ from the Smoky Mtns

Andrea Wilson is GuestLine's featured artist for the

Wilderness Wildlife Week. 

Mrs. Wilson exhibits at the popular 9-day festival each year in Pigeon Forge,

and you can watch as she creates wildflower, butterfly and leaf originals.  The event ~ in its 17th year ~ is free to all.

"I primarily focus on the region where I live, adjacent to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.  My studio is full of treasures collected from the nearby forests and rivers.  Lichens, nutshells, rocks, seeds, mossy sticks, flowers ...  leaves ... and butterflies ... they all go into my paintings.  The variety and intensity of color in a dying leaf or the graceful line of a stem, the personality of a dancing blossom—these are nature’s gifts, all worthy of recording."

Andrea Wilson teaches beginning and intermediate sketching classes at the festival  ...which fill up fast (and are also free!) so sign up early.
